How Couples Personalize Celebrations at Willowbrook Weddings in Bridgeville, Delaware
Personalizing a wedding does not always mean adding more decor. Many couples create a meaningful celebration by choosing spaces, furniture, vendors, and details that match their vision. At Willowbrook in Bridgeville, Delaware, we give couples different ways to make those choices throughout our property.
Couples personalize celebrations at Willowbrook in Bridgeville, Delaware through the choices they make across the 20 acre property. They can pick from seven ceremony locations, including Walk in the Park with hand done black iron doors, mix round and farmhouse tables, choose a dance floor color, and add rentals like antique doors, a floral ring, or a boxwood wall. Candles must be fully enclosed in glass, and bubble exits replace sparklers.
We host one event per day, giving couples exclusive use of the property during their celebration. From selecting one of our ceremony locations to planning reception layouts, each decision helps create a wedding that reflects the couple’s style.
Personalization Starts With the Choices You Make Across the Property
Our approximately 20 acre property offers different settings for ceremonies, receptions, and photos. Couples can choose from multiple ceremony areas, reception furniture options, optional rentals, and scenic locations throughout the grounds. Every wedding does not need the same setup. Some couples focus on the ceremony location, while others put more attention into their reception layout or photo opportunities. Our goal is to provide choices that help couples create a celebration that fits their plans.
Choose a Ceremony Location That Matches Your Vision
We offer seven ceremony locations, each with its own features. Willowbrook Hall provides an indoor ceremony option. Willowbrook Courtyard is a large concrete patio beneath bistro lights. Willowbrook Pond offers a ceremony setting near the water, while Willowbrook Waterfall is designed for micro ceremonies. Willowbrook Woods features an aged stone wall accent with a natural wooded backdrop. Willowbrook Pavilion provides an outdoor ceremony option and serves as a weather backup location.
Willowbrook's Walk in the Park is our newest ceremony location. The area features hand-done black iron doors that create a special entrance for the ceremony. Brides can walk through the doors during their entrance, creating another photo opportunity for the day. Choosing a ceremony location allows couples to decide what setting feels right for their vows, photos, and first moments together.
Create Your Reception Layout With Different Furniture Options
Reception design starts with how you want guests to experience the space. Our included reception furniture features 250 black Chiavari chairs with cushions, 30 five-foot round tables, four eight-foot farmhouse tables, five eight-foot rectangle tables, and 10 high-top cocktail tables. A half-round table, cake table, and dessert table are also included.
Different table styles allow couples to create layouts that fit their guest experience. We also offer three dance floor color options, with sizes varying by selection, along with a permanent bar and three bar tables with linens. General linens and tableware are not provided, so couples can plan those details separately.
Add Details That Reflect Your Wedding Style
Some couples prefer simple details, while others choose additional pieces to create specific areas throughout the venue. Optional rentals include antique doors, round or rectangular sweetheart tables, a floral ring, a boxwood wall, and patio heaters. Antique doors are separate from the permanent black iron doors at Willowbrook's Walk in the Park.
Planning your decor also means understanding venue guidelines. Candles are allowed only when the flame is fully contained in glass. Taper candles and hanging candles are not permitted. Fireworks and sparklers are not allowed, so couples planning an exit can choose bubble exits instead.
Choose Vendors Based on Willowbrook Guidelines
Vendor choices play an important role in planning a wedding. We provide a preferred caterer list and require approved bartenders. Delaware alcohol requirements affect how catering and bar services are arranged. A caterer without an off-premises liquor license must use one of our preferred bartenders. A caterer with an off-premises liquor license must provide both food and alcohol.
Couples can select other wedding professionals without venue approval. Specialty vendors require Willowbrook approval. No food and beverage minimums or guest count minimums are required, giving couples flexibility when planning their celebration.
Use Photo Locations Throughout the Property
Wedding photos can capture different parts of the day across our grounds. Our property includes gardens, woods, the pond, fields, and access to the back forty for photos. Willowbrook Woods includes the aged stone wall, while Walk in the Park offers the black iron doors as another photo setting. Golf cart support for photo locations is available on request, helping couples visit more areas of the property during their photography time.
Combine Indoor and Outdoor Spaces
Couples can plan a celebration that includes different areas of the venue. Willowbrook Hall is climate-controlled and accommodates up to 250 guests. The Pavilion can host an outdoor reception for up to 150 guests and also serves as a weather backup option. Indoor and outdoor cocktail hour options are available. Outdoor ceremonies have two weather backup choices: an indoor location under a roof or the Pavilion. These options allow couples to plan their preferred ceremony setting while having another location available.
Create a Celebration That Represents You
Personalizing a wedding at Willowbrook comes down to the choices that matter most to you. A ceremony entrance through the black iron doors, portraits beside the aged stone wall, farmhouse tables at your reception, or photos in the back forty can each become part of your wedding experience.
Seven ceremony locations, multiple reception furniture choices, optional rentals, vendor flexibility, and photo areas across approximately 20 acres give couples different ways to plan their day.
